The Laundromat
Small Order Merch for the Growing Artists - Small Shop for Big Dreamers
Growing up my mother would take us with her to the laundromat to wash our cloths. I have a lot of memories from that time. The smells, the noise of the T.V. as the patrons watched Sally Jessy or the ilk. Sometimes they'd have food, but it was never very good and it was always overpriced. Still, I'd sit and draw or just watch as the dryers tumbled over and over. There was a gentle peace in it.
Growing up poor I spent years trying to find a way to make merchandise for the art I was creating at a price I could afford, the idea of becoming a full time artist seemed less than hopeless. I came to the conclusion my only option might be to make my own. It would mean a slightly higher initial investment but that way I could ensure I always had options. Along the way I realized (with help from friends) that I needed to be the kind of artist that uplifted and supported other artists. Art should be accessible. Affordable merchandise should be just as accessible for artists. That is to say that artists, illustrators, photographers, musicians and everyone else should have access to quality, reasonably priced merchandise that allows them to showcase their talent and diversity. In short, I wanted the Laundromat to be a place that artists could make what they wanted or needed quickly, easily, and without the worry of overspending.

Our Products
It's true. I grew up in a time you had to order everything you wanted; it didn't matter if it was a shirt, a sticker, or an elephant in a dress. The problem was you had to order 50 or 100 of one item. That's understandable from a business stand point, but it's also bonkers as heck. That's why I started collecting equipment to make my own stuff. You shouldn't have to order 5 shirts for $40 each, or ordering 50 stickers of one design, what if no one likes that design?! Where was I? Oh yes, if you like the idea of a no minimum, multiple design, super handsome shop and shop owner, Jeff lives down the street, but I can definitely do the first two!
